The Sunnyvale Parks and Recreation kicked off its
"Hands On The Arts"
program with a dynamic bellydance
performance by Alcina & the Bennuvians and Troupe Nambah.

Special thanks to Raul Alcocer
for capturing such a wonderful variety of shots from the performance.
...Enjoy!

The Bennuvians started the show followed by
Alcina performing a stunning sword routine.

Next, Troupe Nambah and the Bennuvians shared a very traditional
cane routine with the Bennuvians on the upper stage and
Troupe Nambah in front.

Nambah performed a set of three Tribal numbers
showing off their tight knit timing.

Here are shots of some of Nambah's signature poses:

...Followed by Alcina's lively 9/8 rhythm "Rompi Rompi"

Alcina and the Bennuvians tried to tame the wind with their veils:

The program ended with open dancing,
inviting audience members up on the stage for some lessons.

...and then a rousing Finale number with
Alcina, the Bennuvians, and Troupe Nambah closing the show.

Here are some candid shots:
